The Count of Monte Cristo

Today's Lenny Maltin film will be the 2002 adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' novel, "The Count of Monte Cristo" directed by Kevin Reynolds and starring Jesus Christ as Edmond Dantes.  Since I didn't know anything about the novel or the previous film versions, I would say this was a great adaptation of the book.  Mr. Christ eventually went on to play the title role in "The Passion of the Caviezel," but his performance in this film was excellent.  The film tells the story of a prison inmate.  That's all you need to know.  I, like Leonard, gave this film 3 out of a possible 4 stars.
